The mission of the Health Ministry Team is to know Christ and to make Christ known as the One who brings wellness and wholeness to us. We believe that all people are made up of three interrelated parts: body, soul, and spirit. When these three components are healthy and in balance, we are the happiest and experience a sense of wholeness. An injury or stress to one of these components causes difficulty to the others. Jesus came into the world to bring wholeness. The church offers a non-judgmental environment where people are encouraged towards wholeness and wellness in all three areas. Redeemer's health ministry does not replace professional health care, but will enhance and support it. Health ministry provides education, information, encouragement, and support, but not direct care. Each individual has personal responsibility for his/her health. |

How do we worship during flu season? Are there any specific guidelines for worshipping and taking the body and blood of Christ? At Redeemer, everyone at the altar uses hand sanitizer before beginning to set the table and distributing the elements of Holy Communion. When people choose to drink from the common cup, the chalice bearer wipes the rim after each person partakes .
